Ce serait une grossière erreur d'associer Avril Lavigne aux Britney Spears,
Christina Aguilera ou autres Lorie.
Si sa frêle apparence et ses dix-huit ans la rangent dans cette même catégorie,
c'est sans compter sur son énergie débordante,
son rock à la Alanis Morissette (dont elle est fan) et ses allures faussement dévergondées.
Assurément, suite à l'immense triomphe de son premier album Let Go,
la jeune Canadienne peut envisager une longue carrière.
C'est au Canada, dans une petite ville, de 5000 habitants environ,
nommée Napanee, que Avril Lavigne vient au monde le 27 septembre 1984.
Celle-ci y mène une enfance dorée auprès de son grand frère Matt et de sa petite soeur Michelle.
Ses mère Canadienne, Judith Lavigne et son père Français, John Lavigne,
l'encouragent très rapidement à suivre sa vocation musicale.
Très jeune, elle chante à l'église ou dans les chorales avoisinantes.
Elle apprend assidûment la guitare et écrit déjà ses premières chansons
alors qu'elle n'a que douze ans.
Jeune fille branchée, elle pratique parallèlement le skate,
la musique et le shopping. Cependant, elle avouera qu'elle n'a pas été une fille si populaire que sa dans ses établissements scolaire, *
celle-ci ne s'intéressait pas aux cours et ne faisait pas ses devoirs, elle allait jusqu'à vouloir se faire virer par ses professeurs.
Malgrès ses origines françaises, celle-ci ne connait que quelques rares mots de notre langue!
